I hate being one of those users but I feel like giving up on this game.

Why?

I just don't know, Riot. It just feels like your balance team has given up or just doesn't care anymore. I can go on and list all the problems I find in this game. From the ridiculous amount of broken and overpowered champions, to the stupid snowballing meta, the paper turrets, idiotic items and dragon changes. You can find hundreds of threads about that here.

I have my opinions on all that, but what bothers me the most is the recent Ryze nerfs. I read them and I just hated it. I don't play much Ryze nor do I find him very interesting either but his recent nerfs just broke me. It screamed laziness. It's screamed to me like the balance team doesn't give a shit anymore and will throw ryze in the dumpster until they rework him YET AGAIN. I saw the GP nerfs on pbe and It's the same feeling I got from Ryze. Laziness and over gutting of a champion. The balance team either has no idea what to do, are lazy or worse, stopped caring and change things just for the sake of changing things. I feel like the balance team has given up on their game and so I feel like giving up too.

(want an example of a completely unnecessary change? Just look at tf's E. The new E display just infuriates me and I want the old thing back)

(I've heard the gp nerfs have been toned down a bit but I haven't seen them myself though I'll check them out later.)

It's easy to find problems but not so easy to find solutions. People love to complain about this but it is extremely hard to balance such a complex game. There are thousands of different factors that go into it. It will never be perfect and there will always be champs and items that are over or underpowered.

I actually agree with a lot of what you said, I especially hate how snowbally the game is at the moment, and how many champs are ban-worthy vs. the number of bans.

But I won't give up because I play for the little things, like making an ADC's health bar explode with a Leblanc combo, or catching an entire team in an Amumu ultimate, or getting back to back quadra kills with a late game full build Jinx. Even if I don't like the big picture much, the game is still pretty fun.

Not trying to sound rude, but this is nothing new. The game has been unbalanced for majority of the time the game has been active. The game has always been the same. You just dont see it because you were new to the game, so you try and learn everything you can about the game. Then you keep on playing it, for days, weeks, months, years at a time, and you finally see what the game is worth.

The little things, for me, just don't do enough to keep me really interested in the Game anymore. There are not enough bans, the map is stale, the community at large is very unfriendly and creates a virtually hostile environment, and the developers have lost interest in satisfying the player base overall long ago. If I could name the three things Riot loves most, they are 1) money, 2) eSports, and 3) skins. If they spend so much time on skins, one would think that they ought to redirect their efforts on creating more maps (DotA 2 suffers from this same problem, having only one map). Blizzard took this in the right direction by not only creating map variety, but also randomly selecting a map for the match. Hi-Rez also went in the right direction by creating game mode variety.

Riot almost outright refuses to do either (map or game mode variety). We got Butcher's Bay, sure, but rather than leaving it in after the event was over, they removed the map and reverted to Howling Abyss. We also have four modes, but few people play Twisted Treeline or Crystal Scar (I mean this in comparison to the community size...I'm sure a lot of people like to play two-lane or dominion, just not nearly as much as ARAM or Classic).
