Champions with secondary roles (Galio Rework)

This thread is both to share my enjoyment for some design decision, yet my fear for some future reworks.

First, i really like how they made some adcs more distinct by giving most of them a secondary role.

Although each of them are primarly marksman, they have a secondary role that makes them play differently outside their abilities.

Quinn: adc-roamer Kindred: adc-jungler Corki: magic damage dealing adc Graves: adc-bruiser Varus: adc with strong siege/poke potential etc.

Some still lack a distinct identity, and Vayne is somewhat a failure, i feel like she should be a tank-busting adc, yet she's a lategame hypercarry who melts... everyone when fed. But they did take a step in the right direction with lots of adc.

If we take a look at Urgot, he has alway been this tanky adc, and knowing he's gonna get reworked at some point, i kinda wish they allow him to be played as an adc, but as a tank for his secondary role. He would be able to fill the role of adc, while simultaneously fill the role of the team's tank, making him unique in his kind (well even more so) His current ult supports his role as a tank while the rest of his kit allows him to be played botlane. He can go full damage or tanky to fill the role his team needs.

Now for Galio, he is similar to Urgot, he's the only champ in the game that can play effectively midlane as a mage, while still filling in the role of the team's tank later in the game. He can also be played full AP as a mage, or full Tank to be this unkillable brute in the middle of a teamfight.

This is why i'm scared that with Galio's rework and Urgot's future rework, they'll be ruining what made them unique. It would be a real shame if they Pushed either of them into a specific role.

Galio's AP scaling on his W allows him to be momentarily really tanky for a limited duration despite going full AP. With it's removal, i fear that new Galio will be forced into either full tank, or bruiser with 1-2 AP items max. Same goes for Urgot's ult which allows him to get in the middle of a teamfight, fear enemies and be really tanky for a while. If they rework him, they might just as well remove that and push him into a more baseline role of a bruiser/tank only.

tldr: We NEED champions like Galio and Urgot in LoL, and probably even more. While top, jung, and supports have flexibility in their role, mid and adc are force into squishy mage/assassin and adc respectively. Galio and Urgot are the only one who break this meta while also filling their respective role.
