Graves a good ADC?

I'm looking for a ADC to pick up for solo q. I've really been thinking hard about Graves. His burst is really nice, but his range is his death... Caitlyn is another I've been thinking about. Her range is very good and her escape is not bad. Though, I'm really used to playing mid lane burst champions, so I've been more leaning towards Graves, but for solo q it seems like Caitlyn is better. Opinions?

EDIT: I've been looking for an adc that can really carry also.

Graves is probably one the best ADCs in the game because he has a strong laning phase, powerful ultimate, and a reliable escape with his dash ability. Also, his passive makes him pretty tanky in fights and allows him to sustain longer. The downfall of Graves is that he has a low attack speed and a short auto attack range (500).

Caitlyn has a much longer auto attack range (650) and she is a strong lane bully in the early game. Her ultimate is great for securing kills on low targets and her traps makes her safe against ganks if you don't have any wards available. However, she is not the best late game ADC because her scaling is not that strong like Jinx or Vayne. If you do get fed with Caitlyn, she can be really strong at all phases of the game.

My vote goes to Graves, but it depends on your play style actually. Both champions are great at solo queue, so you can't go wrong with either one of them.

He's probably the strongest ADC atm, atleast in solo queue. You see him SO much, and for good reason. He's just retardedly strong right now and always gets to dump a ton of AOE damage in team fights even if he dies right after. Also pretty much always wins his lane unless its against a Cait, but who doesn't lose to Cait?

He's the most durable of the ADC's, so he's an ideal choice in soloQ where you can't always depend on your teammates to tank damage for you.

Graves is God tier ADC, I hate to play against him.

You really want to know how to play both a bursty ADC like Graves and a pokey ADC like Caitlyn. Playstyle versatility is valuable.

Currently I would say Graves is more relevant to the meta. The support role has become very killy, with Blitz/Thresh/Leona being the core picks. These all work better with burst ADCs.

Graves range is awful, but he's apparently popular with the pros this season. Honestly though, IMHO jinx is bar none the best adc in the game, it's not even remotely close. She just has everything an adc needs to completely decimate the enemy team. Range, speed, damage, awesome ult, slows/stuns.

High elo Graves due to his mega burst dmg. Low elo Caitlyn because nobody knows how to play against her. Overall i would say graves, and use bushes in lane to your advantage to cancel their aa's but that's easier said than done

Caitlyn is much safer than graves for teamfights and also has more utility than graves. Just don't expect to 1v1 graves, vayne, or jinx tho. Honestly most adcs are equal the best ones being.Graves Lucian Caitlyn

Graves has his niche in the game. He's great at bursting down squishy champions and has tools to help him survive people diving him. While his short range is a weakness, it works well for surviving and peeling off bruisers who are trying to dive you.

Since Cinderhulk was released, we seem to have switched to a more tanky meta, which Graves might not handle as well as the previous, dive-heavy meta. He's still pretty strong, if you know when to play him.
