I play leauge for 2 years, s9 is my third season. S7 I didn't play ranked,s8 i only finished promos and went to Silver 4 and never played ranked again. This season I will try to climb but honestly highest I deserve is like Gold maybe Plat but probbably not. My macro and knowledge are pretty good but mechanics and overall skills aren't my best. My question is is it possible for like players that started in s6 s7 s8 to reach high diamond, master or challenger. Almost all challenger players play at least since s3. Is it possible for new players to reach high elo and do any of you know someone with not many years in leauge who is at least high Diamond?

Maybe a player that is familiarized with mobas, but maybe. If you are referring like to a completely new player, the answer would be a big no for challenger, a big no for master, a big no for diamond 1, but maybe plat 1 and in special individuals maybe low diamond. But that's a really rare snowflake.

No. You wont even hit Plat without years of experience. The early years are just spent mastering the easy stuff(Microplay) A knowledge base of every champion and how that champion is going to play in any situation. A knowledge base of what you can and cannot fight without dying. And then the hard stuff comes after that.

Every player has the capacity to hit platinum with effort. Going past that is kinda where natural talent takes over.

No Being even a high elo from other moba games barely puts you on plat elo in the hard work of a year

Depends. If you have the time and follow everyone’s advice from higher elo than maybe. But if you only get a game or two a day it’s gonna be a large climb.

You can hit platinum just by grinding games but you will reach a point where you will need to improve and you will have to seek knowledge, even if you don't know what's holding you back. Thinking about your plays, win conditions, etc, is the hardest part of the game and the one people struggle the most. Improvement is still a long road and you will have to grind more games so that the knowledge you get sinks in.

I would say plat is absolutely for sure obtainable but it is all going to depend on two things:

How well you retain information and learn from your mistakes. Lots of people play a fuckton of games but they are essentially repeatedly throwing their faces against a wall and saying "Why am I still losing when I'm doing the same things I've done the last 500 games" if you don't learn from your mistakes you won't climb.

Secondly the more "meaningful" games you play the faster you'll climb. This means you analyze and internalize what decisions you made that could have been done better. Were your mechanics just off in that last duel so you lost it but if you'd played it correctly you would have won? Would you have lost anyway and it was a mistake to take the fight? Bad positioning? Bad jungle tracking? If you play a large number of games and internalize your mistakes you'll easily climb but that not only is not an intuitive process it is very difficult to do. Which is why most people never leave silver.

But seriously playing a metric shitton of games is very important to moving up the ladder.

Good luck on the climb!
