i just played a game of league of legends as malphite in champion select the person that would be last pick wants to play zoe but the chance that he would get zoe was low (in my opionion) because the enemy would pick her (what i thought they would do) so i banned her. And all of my team starts to flame me and call my names they wanted to report me aswell. Ingame they flame me for being bronze V and that am not levle 4 or above with malphite. So i wonder did i do wrong for banning zoe or did they do wrong for being so toxic?

You can't get banned for banning a champ in champ select that someone wanted.

Specifically for the reason you listed, in fact.

That dude was not going to get Zoe. So long as you didn't flame back at them, their report won't do a thing.

If you feel you actually did nothing wrong aside from banning zoe, then sure you have every right to complain. But odds are that you are not as innocent as you claim if you were to get banned. It doesn't matter if a full team reports you, it doesn't make a difference if you got reported 5 times or 1 time in a game it's weighted the same

If a player declares that they are playing a champion, you shouldn't ban that champion. I understand why you did, but you just shouldn't. A better solution is to ask the first pick to pick that champ for them and trade, but if you ban someone's declare expect to not have your team be on your side for the rest of the game. But also no this is not a punishable offense.

This is precisely the reason I say "Do not ban away team champions"

I know that you're focused on not letting them through to the other team and your ambition is purely beneficial for what you believe is most important to the team, but depending on your teammates, you're just going to brew bad air because their ambitions might be to gain mastery with that champion in Ranked.

As for the arguement "Don't take new champions into ranked"...

At some point, you need to test your skills out on the stage you've practiced for.

Whether its a champ who just got reworked, just got released, or a champ you are new to, at SOME point you're going to have to play a "1st" and "2nd" ranked game with that champion, so this "no new champs" argument is invalid.

It's not worth it. Just play the game out. It would be more beneficial for you to learn how to deal with the allied Champ that is being banned than to ban them from the allied player even if they are last pick. And if they do get picked away, you always have the option to dodge.

But don't spread unhappiness.

Happy teams win games.

While you are technically not in the wrong for banning who you wanted to ban, if you care about your elo you wouldn't ban your teammates out because when you do they either end up troll picking or inting. Also, it takes a lot of reports to get banned not just 1.

There was no chance Zoe would last until the final pick.

not true i get her all the time as last pick.

Dude, if you could get banned for that, I wouldn't have an account.

Youre an ass for banning her.

But its not an actionable offense.

Lol, it's a bit of a dick move. As if anyone would be able to lock in Zoe for the guy, or tell them that ur gonna ban zoe and give ur explanation... If they accept then sure ur good.... But too many times have i been last pick and still gotten Zoe for me to agree with ur thought process that he wouldnt have gotten her. There's also the factor that they were willing to play against Zoe

You did nothing wrong. One of them could have dodged. It's their problem.
