Annie has no counter play

So I'm writing this as a lifetime salty league player who's always really hated Annie. Now don't come in here and say I'm just playing terribly because I know I can do better, but isn't it sort of lame that a champion that can already land a full combo without a stun, can have an ult with absolutely no channel? I don't know, riot reworked a lot of point an click champs so that they have counter play, why not Annie? I'm currently Gold 4 if anyone wants to know.
