Disconnecting in Champ Select - Not Dodging Properly

Riot, I just lost my second game in the last two days because some got disconnected in champion select but the game did not dodge. After seeing someone chatting in champ select, choosing their champion and proceeding to see chat say "X has left the chatroom" followed by 20 minutes of 4v5 while they never connect even once - I'm SICK of these games continuing like this.

Why are people disconnecting in champion select but games continuing anyways? Why is it that games start before everyone has connected? Why is it that every other MOBA has a solution for players who disconnect but the supposed "best MOBA" does not?

You need to address this problem. Its bad enough that I have to stay in a game when someone disconnects after it starts, but now I have to sit in a game for 20 minutes when they disconnect in champion select?
