i think there needs to be another system in place of "placement games"

These games have nothing to do with individual skill whatsoever. Its nearly impossible to show skill when in almost every single game there is an afk player or a player who just sucks at the game to a level of below bronze on either team. 10 games does not accuratly show your skill on any sort of level at all. Actually even being placed after playing 10 game gives you the feeling that riot really doesnt give a shit about the player. It takes a minimum of 72 games just to climb from bronze 5 to gold 5. How can 10 games prove anything? It doesnt. Its a useless system that just throws you into a random pool of players and says "matchmaking decides your rank"
