Not sure if this is a common issue. I've never has issues getting support before in my games in dynamic queue. But in the past 5 games, queuing as either Support/Fill or Support/Bot, I've gotten my secondary (fill/bot) 3 out of 5 times. Why is this? Is there actually more competition for support or is the system messing up? What can I do to improve my rate of getting support?
Goldies are more likely to play support than in silver
Well, with autofill existing the need for supports is less dire then it used to be (so matchmaking isn't as desperate to stick people into support), plus people have wanted to be able to queue as X/support without getting support 80% of the time so it's possible there's been more tuning there.
That said, I've still been getting support the majority of the time as support/bot, and one would theoretically expect sup/mid to have the heaviest bias towards getting sup.
It's Gold. People actually understand the game there. Shouldn't be surprised it's a contested role at that elo.
