About Taric's Rework

I've been playing a bunch of Taric lately and I forgot what made him so fun! He is like the support version of a Juggernaut. He is the only support that can just walk up to the enemy team Stun the ADC in the face, start smashing, and then walk out like nothing happened (Okay, Alistar can too but only with ult)! He loves being in the thick of things and isn't afraid to tank up damage over and over. I know his rework is coming after Poppy and I am concerned that he will lose this unique play style. It is fun for a support main to play their own version of a juggernaut and I hope they keep this feel for Taric in his rework. I also see a nice buff coming his way and I wonder if Riot took this change into account when they started his rework. The buff I am talking about are the changes that have been done to Iceborn Gauntlet and the Relic Shield item line.

For those of you curious about the pre-season changes to Iceborn Gauntlet and Relic Shield:

Iceborn Gauntlet Total cost reduced to 2700 from 2850 Armor increased to 65 from 60 No longer grants 30 AP CDR increased to 20% from 10% Size of slow zone now increases with bonus armor

Relic Shield Cost reduced to 350 from 365 Now Grants +2 gold per 10 seconds

This is an incredible boost to Taric because many consider IBG to be a key item in Taric's build. It has many problems currently though, 1: it grants AP which Taric scales very poorly with. 2: It only has 10% CDR and Taric needs a lot of CDR. 3: It costs too much for a support with their limited gold generation.

Add onto this that Relic Shield now has 2gp10 on it like the other support items and Taric is going to be happier then a lapidarist at a rock and art show. Combine this with the fact that ADC's are getting huge buffs and Taric excels at building Armor then he might actually get to see some major play before his rework!

Don't misunderstand, I am looking forward to Taric's Rework and I am sure I will love and hate aspects of it, I just hope that Riot takes into account the changes they are doing now and keep his play style as a support juggernaut.
