Why is Ranked DuoQ allowed?

i've got the bad luck of picking mid/top and always end up playing a 1v2 lane. And the fact that they might be communicating via skype or other kind of program is a huge disadvantage. Why is it even allowed?

Sorry for my bad english, guys.

I agree, if people want to play with others they should play ranked 5s or normal games. SoloQ is there to measure individual skill and the existence of duo queues means people can be carried to ranks they don't deserve.

Don't get me wrong, I duo queue all the time with a friend of mine and I enjoy it, but I can recognise the clear disadvantages associated with it.

My thought would be that it lets you play with friends to ensure you are playing with a teammate you actually like or to allow you to try unconventional duo lanes or champion pairs. I think the first part of that will be very important to me if I ever finish my promos, since the three ranked games I have played have been the three most toxic games I have played since I made my account. I would like to play with serious teammates against serious players to improve myself, but I think it would be all but unbearable to play ranked without someone I actually like queueing with me, even if we don't wind up with a duo lane together. Sure, it can be a pain to play against a good pair, but a lot of the self-proclaimed duos I see suck really hard, so I imagine it evens out in the end.

Please correct me if I'm wrong here. I thought the higher ranked person gets less lp for wins and losses more lp when they loss, compared to the other person though? If this is a case it's high risk, low reward.

I always lol at duo feeders who think that feeder plus feeder equals more than two feeders.
