Can some one seriously point out the pros of dynamic duo compare to the cons?

I just don't understand what is going on in Riot head when they think dynamic duo are good for the game in rank. Please tell me the pros to the con of dynamic duo because all I see from Riot is them not shutting up about how less toxic it is and that is pretty much it.
