Anivia Lane Strategy

I want to share tips and tricks when laning with Anivia. Here are a few in-deapth tactics to abuse Anivia's kit. Anivia is known as having a weak laning phase. This weakness stems form the risk of a missed Q. Anivia's Q is everything when trading pre 6. It is Everything. It is 50% of her damage combo, her Stun, her Slow, And her activator for E's 2x damage. So I rely on laning strategies that don't depend on a perfect Q.

Anivia has a crazy range on her auto attacks. 600! She out ranges all "meta or traditional" mid-laners. This is easy to exploit in lane. We take Hybrid pen runes. The small lose of 2.25 magic pen is rewarded with punishing Auto attacks. The Auto attack power is compounded by the fact most opponents don't take armor seals against anivia. Additional her auto's have a slow inflight animation. Allowing me to get away from minion aggro before the auto attack lands.
Auto attack harass opens my opponent up to a strong burst combo.

Secondly, Anivia can race for level 2. Anivia's Q is an effective pushing tool as the first minion wave clashes, dealing 60 damage to all minions, and 180 to the caster minions in total. Her Q will stun the caster minions delaying their DPS on our own minions. Next anivia can Auto attack the enemy champion to aggro the melee minions delaying their DPS on minions even more. The result leaves Aniva with a strongly pushed lane where the opponent's minions die 4 to 6 seconds faster. Anivia's level 2 has some of the strongest burst in the game.
This opens the door for Anivia and her jungle to gank the enemy jangler at their blue/red. Or an early all in attempt on the opposing mid laner. This is strong when the enemy has a weak lvl 1 trade.
