Tips on how to break out of skill plateau?

Hey folks, so for both last season and this season I've been stuck at gold 3 with about a 50% winrate. In Gold 5 and 4 I can usually carry and almost always do the most damage (I'm a mid main btw) but once i hit gold 3 all that stops and I find myself struggling to not int everygame. I lose all positive influence on games and can only climb by playing way more games and hoping my teams carry me on more than half of them. I've watched videos, reviewed vods, and all that but can't really find the problem. Do I just need to play more or what? If anyone has any ideas or tips I'm all ears. Thanks in advance.
