How Did You Do in Provisionals This Season?

Getting ready to go ranked this season but I'm a little nervous! I did ranked in seasons 4 and 5 but because I never felt like I had the time to climb out of ranks, I waited until the last week and then did my placements. I went Silver 2 both times. Anyway, this season I figured I have enough spare time to climb ranks, but I don't know if I should do provisionals now or wait until later. From my experience, at the beginning of the season (right now) people are getting screwed (i.e. going 8/2 and then placing bronze V as opposed to silver V last season) when they do their provisionals. Have you done your provisionals yet? If so, how did you do, and how does that hold up to last season?
