Hello, i was wondering if people could tell me how does catalyst of aeons work, the tooltip doesn't make a lot of sense.
If I'm against an AP in top, as cho gath, shouldn't I build Spirit visage first, not Abyssal? I saw a youtuber go for the Abyssal rush, and I wanted to know why.

Catalyst Of Aeons gives you health when you expend mana, and Mana when you take damage. (Health return is capped)
Abyssal Mask not only grants magic resist, but also increases the magic damage dealt to nearby enemies by a percentage.
If you deal magic damage primarily, it's a good way to build defensively, without sacrificing a ton of power. Especially on champions that use a lot of mana, because just being in a fight will restore it.
