Games are WAY too coinflippy
The game is becoming less and less fun.
This isn't a great example, but look at speedruns of single player games-it's obvious that it's entirely skill based. It can be fun to watch because you can see the time, effort, and skill spend on it. And you can do it yourself! Basically, what I'm saying is, many other games reward skillful play and allow the player to do very well comparatively to the norm.
And then we have League. League feels less and less skill based by the day. I'm not saying that there is NO skill involved to being good; not at all. I think that being good at the game will definitely make you climb, and if you are that good, you deserve to climb.
But the fact is that feels less fun every day because it feels less and less like an expression of skill and more like a "who gets better teammates", rng based game.
Nobody plays League because they want to have a 50% winrate due to factors outside their control-players want to feel like their skill(s) are being rewarded. But the game doesn't feel that way. Solo carrying is very hard due to the games' nature, and it feels like you can do very well but it's just too much of a coniflip.
It feels as if improving in the game is NOT rewarded and instead is almost a non factor. Sure, maybe you're not super skilled and you don't manage your waves super well, but the fact is that it doesn't matter if your bot lane is 0/8 in 10 minutes.
And this is another issue: it feels like there's no point in improving. It feels so good to go from not knowing wave management, positioning, etc, and then doing in perfectly in game, denying your opponent cs. That feels great, but it ulitmately feels worthless because the game often is just a coinflip between which players are/not bad.
I dunno. Feelsbadman.
