The amount of risk players are taking is substantially low

This is what makes the game boring. Take LCS for example, all the teams take the safest style of play. The game is VERY passive meaning that teams are basically playing off mistakes and baits rather than being agressive or taking a risk. Risk brings higher rewards. This doesn't mean you have to play an assassin to do it. I believe the reason the agressor style of play is non-existent is because of the damage and power creep. Players know that if they wanted to go in and try to outplay, then you just get blown up with a click of a button like exhaust. That's just an example but thats what it has come down to. A tank going in for his team going to the back line to CC, the rest of his team is also being peeled off by another tank and everyone just sits twidling there thumbs until both tanks are dead then they mash a few buttons and get kills. Risk also doesn't mean to go to extreme levels. It can be small little things that can change the pace of a game. I almost see none of that now. Every LCS match is played the same way until 50 minutes. Let alone looking at the state of solo queue is even worse. When teams are behind, good bye to you the game is over.
