Nigh every time I play the ADC role now my support trolls.

I rarely play that role, yet in the past week whenever I have played it I get things like:

  • Xayah support (she also stole farm; must've thought she was adc)
  • Varus support (thought Lulu adc was unviable; tried to force me into the support role. Got fed early to mid game but just couldn't survive long enough late game to survive. Also stole farm.)
  • blind-pick Lux support (certainly doesn't fit with all compositions)

I have gotten fed regardless in some of the games, but what utility do these provide to allow me to survive when late game arrives, or even help in the laning phase? What do I do?

Nothing wrong with lux playing support. She tends to be split fairly evenly between mid lane and support these days.

Honestly nothing wrong with any of those champions being played in support role if they actually provide poke, protection, and warding (filling the requirements for the support role).

Two out of those three may not be optimal choices for the given team comp/game; and they may even be extremely sub-optimal -- but that's not reportable or punishable. Nowhere does Riot say a player must only play specific, authorized "support" champions, and playing any champion that does not fit within that role as support is punishable. In fact, they've stated very much the opposite. After all, Miss Fortune has been played as support -- quite viably in certain matchups -- and she has no hard CC either.

Unless the support player is purposefully, actively taking farm and/or verbally abusing you and/or not fulfilling the role of support and instead stealing yours or another player's, then there's not much you can do except try your best and believe they're doing the same.

Xayah can bind, Varus can slow and reduce healing as well as bind, and Lux has been an aggressive support similar to Zyra. Are you saying Zyra is a troll support?

This is similar to the Miss Fortune Support time. However, what you are experiencing is them trying a champion in a role that people do not normally play them. You seem to be very easily judgemental if you feel Lux is not a support and can not help you....... I mean her bind, her slow, her shield, and her long range kill secure...... As well as the extra damage in general.

I would have even SLIGHTLY had some kind of understanding of your issue..... But you even added lux there as a "troll support". Perhaps you are a troll ADC?

Xayah has a situational root (that isn't that hard to proc to be fair), but that's about it for utility, so yeah pretty troll and just learning the new champ at the teams expense.

Varus I could probably make a case for. Champs with %max health damage (as in his w stacks) tend to be ok damage dealers on a support budget, plus his e not only slows, but applies grievous wounds for added utility. His ult of course roots if he lands it, so could be used as an initiation tool or to peel. While your varus support and most likely the vast majority of varus supports are just trolly picks by people who wanted to adc, I could plausibly see someone genuinely supporting as varus as some kind of weird pocket pick.

Lux support is basically a crappier version of morg support, but I mean plenty of people do it in a completely non-trolly manner. She's probably a much better pick in some match ups than others, but I don't think blind picking her as support is trolling.
