League over the years

Les't start on a positive note. League of Legends is a game in constant evolution. Every year, every season they bring new stuff, new runes, new concepts, new ways to play an old game. Also the effort they put for the Esport, I never missed a single world and every year I was hype. They bring us new cool skin and they just don't drop in, they add gameplay and video, like for the K/DA and the Odyssey. I have been playing this game since season 1 and I really like it, and this is why I'm doing this post because I want League to continue to be a great game and I want this community to be happy to play with each other and share the excitement and the fun they having. So the first topic will be addressed to Riot and the other to this community.

Dear Riot, I know you guys work hard to make a fun and balanced game, I know you have to include casual play, ranked play and professional play. But I have a feeling that since season 7, the game is not as interactive and fun as before. I remember when you guy brought lethality in the game, the idea was to give a chance to the assassin to scale a bit more late game, it was a disaster at first, but who cares we are here to experiment. My problem is that I don't feel in control of my games as before. I know that the decision behind the increase of damage potential was to break those boring meta where you have 1 adc who sat behind 4 tanks and shoot at each other, and I do agree, even as a main adc this was boring as hell. But now, everything is doing so much damage that I keep getting one shot (and I'm not just talking for ADC, I actually left this position because everything bullies ADC nowadays). We can find more and more video of pro player just getting deleted out of nowhere, we have streamer like scarra (I'll put the link) talking about those issues and just this boards which is filled with complaining about games being too short or too much damage. My point is, we want changes and Riot Games embraced it, but the way the game is going right now does not seem to be the best direction. And to be fair, even I like to play Zoe and 1 shot people, but I also feel their pain. So to conclude with this topic, Riot we know it is hard to balance such a complex game and you guys try to bring new mechanics, new champions and a general new experience every season, but right now I don't think you are heading in the right direction. We don't want an hour long game, but we don't want games were we FF at 15 or 20 minutes because we know it's already over, we don't want to die so quickly that we can't even react. I can't offer you a solution, I don't have enough data nor I'm an expert in balancing games, but the only thing I can say is, please listen to us.

And now for this lovely community, I have been playing league since season 1, so I watch this game grow and the community. Like all game where the community grows, it comes with the pros and cons, the pros were having an amazing content creator community (cosplayer, artist, youtuber etc) and the cons were the risks of troll and toxic player increasing. I'm here because I think we can do better. I'm can be very emotional sometimes and like everyone else I can tilt, BUT I learn to control myself. A lot of people doesn't and it became hard to enjoy the game because people would start trolling, RQ/afk or insult each other instead of just playing the game. It's ok to be mad (even I break a glass today), but do not direct this anger towards other players. First of all, it's doing nothing except ruining your last chance of winning your game, then it will ruin the experience for the other player, it will accomplish nothing in the end and finally, you are taking the risk of getting a ban for no reason. The best example I can give you is my last game, I was mid and I was getting constantly dive by 3 people, our bot lane started to tell me "stop feeding" (which is complicated in this situation) and keep spamming my death timer when I died (I only died 4 times btw, I don't think it's this bad), but on the other hand our jungle keep telling me "don't worry man we got the late game, we can do this". And guess what, we actually won and the moral support coming from my jungler helped us. You can say, well you should just mute them, and you are right I mute most people when they are tilting me. I still think that we shouldn't have to mute each other, at least not as often. So guys, try to chill, cheer your teammate if you see they are in a bad spot, don't start to have a childish reaction like insulting someone or going AFK/RQ, we have a great community with so much potential, so lest try to be more positive (me included) and make the bright side of our community shine.

Thank you if you read all the post, remember this is just my opinion, I don't think I have the perfect answer for everything, but I really want to make a positive impact on this game and this community.

See you all on the Rift
