Autofill Is nothing else than shit. It makes me lose LP, i cannot climb when i get autofilled. and OOHOOHO 20 SEC LESS QUEUE TIME HOLY SHITT. No one gives a shit. I can bet everyone they want to wait 2 more min than lose 20 lp....
And most of the times when you get autofills on your team they troll, because they do not want support. Autofill basicly means, fuck you play support instead of having fun and climb.
It did not help anyone or anything.
I don't know if you were around before auto-fill, but I was and it was the worst. Before auto-fill queue times weren't 20 seconds longer, they were 20 minutes longer. And in higher elos they were an hour long (and more even). I'm not sure I can remember any queue going even as long as 5 minutes since auto-fill was introduced. It absolutely has helped.
The better solution, is to learn at least one champion that you can play well in every role for those times when you get auto-filled. This way you can have a positive impact on the outcome of your game no matter what role you're playing.
You can also let your team know in champ select that you've been auto-filled but that you're very good at your preferred role. In my experience many, if not most, teams will try to move around to make sure everyone is in their best roles if possible.
That explains why bot lanes feed everyday

i was one of those "support SECONDARY " player who got support 30 games in a row before they put autofill in.
maybe the problem isn't autofill, but sup is. why is sup the autofill role? riot needs ask community why isn't sup fun. an I will tell you why, if were to take champions an have them go 1v1 vs all other champions, you would have a shorter list of champions that did not have a near 50% win rate that fell below 50% and all support champions would be on that list. ask yourself this," when was the last time you saw a sup champion carry 1 v 5" answer, never because they are support not champion, they require other to carry.

idk if it should be removed but maybe implement a better idea. That said people need to get over themselves and learn multiple roles incase what they want primarily isn't an option.

maybe instead of autofill, you set position 1,2,3,4,5, show how long per position slot, an when placed w/ a team tells you what position you get, 1/2 you have to accept or get time penalty.
