Bard Nerfs

So Bard is getting nerfed on the PBE. His magical journey is slightly faster at rank 1, equal at rank 2, and way slower at all other ranks. Bard as a champion has never been super strong. He is currently sitting at around a 51% win rate with a 3% pick rate, which is not out of line with other champion win rates. The nerf is also targeting one of Bard’s coolest abilities.

The goal of the changes seem to be to force Bard players to max W second rather than E, and push Bard into more of an enchanted role, which is a real shame. One of the coolest things about Bard is that he supports his team in a very different way than any other support. Bard is a support that focuses more on macro-play. His E enables him to get his team to other places on the map more quickly, while also helping them to invade, or enable Baron/Dragon fights. It is also super helpful in his roaming capabilities.

While the nerfs probably aren’t a huge deal, it’s just weird to me that Bard of all champions would get hit with one, and out of all his abilities it’s his E that is deemed too strong.

Surrender at 20 did not have full changes listed. Over all is a buff to Bard without reducing his E’s effectiveness.
