League has turned into SUPER SMASH BROS

I've concluded it's not even about op crit users this patch. League has transformed from a game that makes you pay for your mistakes into a game that is so riddled with chaotic holes it reminds me of mashing buttons on my old super nintendo.

Example Game: I go Yasuo. 100% crit after two items. I can 2 shot anyone mid game.

Example Game: I go Shen. 5000 life end game. Grasp allows me to steal 3% of that back every 4 seconds. I also can two combo carries. In fact I just fought a 5v5 while taking both nexus turret aggro and sustained life for over a minute. Stupid.

Example Game: I'm a mage. JK I would never pick a mage (they require pseudo strategy now) and I say "pseudo" because they took what mages used to do which is pop people and gave all their counters insane life steal procts and huge MR options. I thought the downside to choosing a mage counter was supposed to be lack of sustain? RIOT: "MUAHAHA NO LONGER".

Basically the game went on tilt. All of the decisions and fine tuning and tweaks and missed plays DON'T REALLY MATTER ANYMORE. This new mastery tree gives us "options" to customize our champs, but really there's only 1 way to go per champ that wrecks and the other options are VASTLY inferior.

**TLDR; This season feels like some sort of god mode hack where everyone moves too god damn fast and hits too god damn hard and survives too damn long. **

You have never played Super Smash Bros, have you?

And everyone picks OP characters like Fox and Marth

I think your analogy has some fundamental flaws and you should re-think your choices in life. There is almost no comparisons to draw between League and Smash. This coming from a person who plays both religiously.

I thought this was going to be a lore thread.

well the game feels like ssb since they introduced Tahm which is basically Kirby on steroids

If League were like Super Smash bros (more than it currently), it'd be the most epic thing ever. Getting to perform epic combos and being able to tech everything would be awesome.

lorewise...yea balancewise...no, smash brothers is fairly well balanced and doesn´t really tend to snowball.

I agree with your assessment; wasn't sure that I would from the title, but the points you bring up are quite valid. The game feels so different now. Just in the last game I played I was Xin Zhao jungle. I had a rough go early on. At one point I was 0/5. I managed to get a sated devourer, a hextech gunblade, and a guinsoo's rageblade however, and things started to change. My final build added the cooldown boots and BOTRK and I killed 3 people while tanking dual nexus turret damage. The Yi who could annihilate me all throughout the mid game suddenly couldn't outdamage my lifesteal. Neither could the Rengar who could previously 1v5 our team. In fact, as long as I hit my moves in the right order and kept attacking, I barely got below half-health before refilling back to full. I was borderline invincible.

I'm not sure if Riot's changes are due to trying to incorporate the "Urf-like" feel that was so popular in that game mode, or if they began playing too many games of Heroes of the Storm and for some reason thought that game got things right that they didn't and tried to mirror certain aspects in some way. (Towers in HOTS aren't very strong either, and champs don't require nearly as much skill to play well, like they used to in league).

I don't honestly know what I feel about the state of the game at the moment. It's too new right now and too different. I do feel that they've entirely scrapped the idea of making every champion viable though, and instead focusing on certain ones. Riven, for instance, feels like garbage now to me (although maybe I just don't know how to play her in this meta). My initial thoughts are that the game was more dynamic and balanced before; and had a much higher skill cap. I feel like there may be a lot more players reaching gold and above this season for that reason.

I don't know, as a tank/bruiser player I kind of like the new masteries, especially Bond of Stone. Reminds me of the damage reduction mastery from season 2. Can actually tank things (except for late game ADCs and melee carries) again.

You obviously haven't played Smash Bros. competitively before. If you make ONE mistake in a Smash game, you just lost a stock, quite possibly the game. League of Legends didn't lose you the game quite as hard off of one mistake nearly as hard as Smash Bros does.

How is it that people both hit too hard and live for too long? Those are polar opposites...
