My entire team and the entire enemy team was silver, I was Silver 3 with 16 wins 6 losses. I was playing adc and got a iron 1 - 0 lp blitz on my team and he obviously was new he didn't complete the 500 gold part of his support item until almost 15 min and the full item wasn't completed until 25. Im just confused on how he can get into a game where nobody can Que with him.
He was a duo with Elise.
Also, just to point it out, rank has nothing to do with matchmaking. Matchmaking doesn't care about anything other than MMR.
A quick peek on OP.gg reveals rhey were likely duo with your silver 3 jungler.
Silver can que with iron, bronze, silver, gold.

Iron is a Rank in the system that has actually caused a lot of issues with Match Making. They can duo with players that are most definitely above them as generally when you have an account in Iron, your Rank will say Iron but your MMR of that account can actually be Silver or even Gold. I started one last season that was placed Iron and I was playing in Gold to Plat games before I was even hitting Silver on it. So they really have a disconnect between the Rank and MMR when Iron is concerned.
