Tier Differentiation
So, it's a very popular opinion that this ranked season started off poorly.
I myself was placed from gold to silver, but that's pretty normal, I think everyone was placed a full tier lower this year. What I'm actually seeing though, is too many people in silver. Climbing through bronze used to be known as elo hell, primarily because most of your loses and wins were based on trolling/smurfs/inters.
Thats changed. I carried my friend through bronze without any issue; Elo hell is now silver.
The difference between silver 1 and silver 4 is like the difference between masters and diamond. Silver 4 players are being out matched across the board in this tier. So my issue is, most of my loses are determined on how many silver 4 players are on my team vs theirs. Even on a losing team, I can consistently not feed/provide 50-70k damage a game (roughly 20-25min games).
Silver 4 players have no vision score, no dragon control, are flashing into 1v3s. Riots new, "losses don't count against you," placement algorithm really stomped silver as a tier. I know I'll be gold in 10-15 games but holy hell. Silver is bad right now.
