Through Free play I can Ach every Hero, Skin and Mount... In LoL even with purchasing the starter pack I struggle to obtain anything but crap shard after shard after shard....

Excuse me what? In league nowadays, new players get soo much shit 4 free. In case no1 believes me, make a new account and take a look at what you get for playing for a week.
There are lvl up rewards and daily rewards. When you add everything up, this is what you get:
- around 15k BE
- 500 OE
- 6 champs of your choice
- mystery ward skin
- waterloo mf skin shard
- free rune page
And thats not even including normal lvl up capsules.

Welcome to league of legends, dont forget to buy their epic pass to grind ur ass for some tokens of overpriced items.
I would like to put this out there in HotS you earn about 30 gold per pvp game if you win and the most expensive heroes cost 10000 gold to buy.
Unlike league heroes forces you to do quests and level up heroes to get gold meaning if you don't like the heroes you have and don't like the quests getting to the heroes you want can be very very annoying.
There is also a shit load of loot boxes in it. Which is why you get more skins because of recolors.
Like I'm not going to take the time to find out which game is faster(I'm 90% sure it's lol) to earn characters but lol is definitely better at it in a fun way.
And the only drawback is that you're playing a shitty game like HotS instead of an actually good game. o3o
I think HotS is more for a casual Moba player, and League is more for people who enjoy suffering and longer games.
League feels more solid of a game, but you have to spend way too much time for it to become fun.
HotS takes way less time to get into, and you don't have to learn as much to be able to win a game.
You get a good amount as a new player. The quality of games would be even worse pre-plat, with people hopping on new champions every other game without a commitment.
HotS is stress free on design, play it as you will.
HoTS is a fuckin grindfest. You don't get shit worth owning without grinding out half your life.
