Unpopular opinion: New Kayle is better than old Kayle
They literally just took old Kayle, who was already this bad early game, and made her better at supporting others early to mid game. Not to mention her late game is better in my opinion too. So overall I think she's just a better champion. Not to mention she seems like she could be good at abusing the top lane funneling strat. If Lulu is banned now you can just pick her. So yeah I think she's just fine tbh. She was already trash tier early... but now she misses a few more cs in exchange for better supporting abilities early game? I'm down for it lol. I already know some match ups where I have to play like Kayle just because they picked a lane bully... but playing Kayle is just playing like that every game regardless of who they pick. Also if late game champs were that bad right now then I feel like Ez and Kass would be preforming a lot worse than what they are now.
Just so you know tho, while I think Kayle is a better than old Kayle.. I'm a serious anti-late game champ person. I don't like dealing with the stress that they bring in the game. In pro play/ranked flex it's not that bad, but getting 4 randos to end the game as fast as possible without real coms is really hard and stressful. Like why is it a mechanic in the game to be able to sit back and show no real skill but be rewarded for it? Wow you didn't feed your ass off before level 16 so now you get to win despite doing nothing worth that all game... cool. It's not a mechanic I think this game should have and it often just feels unfair to me. If we had better coms, then I think it'd be fine, but yeah. Not a fan of early game champs either. Of course there will always be champs who might have a slight advantage early or late, but I just don't think that having a major advantage early or late should anyone's "thing". They should be a champion... not a gimmick.
