My take on fixing Ornn
I know Ornn got hotfixed in the last patch with base stat buffs and cooldowns, along with some other buffs. Riot has even said that they are looking at Ornn's usability as a focus of helping him out instead of damage or number buffs, so here are my suggestions on how to improve Ornn's usability.

E charge collision radius: There are too many times where Ornn's body visually "touches" a piece of terrain, but doesn't actually collide with it for knockup. I think an increase on the detection radius or even causing the detection radius to lollipop (expanded checking range only at the end of the casting distance, like with Nautilus Q). Additionally maybe a longer windup+faster speed, or no windup and slower speed could help. Casting it feels clunky in a non-responsive way, not in the "large champion doing something big" kind of clunky.

Self-slow on W: This ability feels really bad to use because of the self-slow when casting it. I'd be willing to take a hit to the damage or the shield of the ability if Ornn can move at either full speed or 90% of his speed or something. Also, because Ornn can't auto attack during the cast, turning with the ability is difficult because you can click on an enemy target that is on your side or behind you, but since you can't attack, Ornn won't turn as a result of an auto attack command.
These are my gripes with Ornn's usability. I think if we can help players execute what Ornn is supposed to do, then he'll be in better shape.
