Arcane Blade

This is the mastery that did 5% of your ap as magic damage in each auto attack and it really helped with last hitting. I believe that there are a few masteries on the red tree that can be replaced with this one, but I don't know. What do you guys think?

I miss Arcane Blade too even though most of it's use was just early-game last hitting and maybe some better Lux trades. Still, as much as having the auto damage was nice, it's not the end of the world that it's gone.

They boosted the base damage of all magic users to compensate, as well as increased the damage they do to turrets by giving them an AP scaling on turret hits.

I think it was more of a crutch really. With it gone, riot can balance mage Autos around themselves rather than a mastery that mages wold otherwise ubiquitously be made to get.

I've seen this exact thread posted in the preseason.

Someone whined about how hard it is to cs with malz aa

I don't know about anybody else, but I find malz extremely easy to cs with auto attacks

EDIT: LITTLE DO THEY KNOW I SAID THE EXACT SAME THING ABOUT MALZ IN THE PRESEASON THREAD FOR FREE UPVOTES :D I still mean what I said though

It probably never actually helped you with last hitting.

5% of 100 AP (which approx is one full item) 5 damage and minions have MR. So you are not doing as much as you think

Savagery in the cunning tree will give you straight up 5 damage to minions and monsters on both auto and spells

Therefore you are clueless. But every up vote you get proves that others are just as bad as you are.

Yes, I miss it too. I know most AP champs aren't AA focused, but it helped.
