Bring TeamBuilder Back & Take Away Blind Draft (Also My View On the New Champ Select)

Hi Everyone,

First off I want to give props to Riot for taking risks like they have with the new Queue, because you won't ever become a better game without it. Anyways now onto the subject matter. I actually really enjoy the new queue unlike a lot of "ragers". The point I am trying to make about bringing Team Builder back and taking away Blind Draft is simple. Blind Draft does nothing but create havoc and unhappy gamers when trying to fend for yourself in an all out war to get your position/champ. Sure there might be a few people out there that really don't care what they play at the moment and can just wait until everyone hashes it out, but bottom line is that Blind Draft is utterly pointless and normal mode should be a place where gamers can come to either have fun or practice new champions/skills. Now this is where Team Builder comes into play, players are allowed to choose the exact champ and role that they want to play then enter a queue. This has many advantages to it and to list a few: No raging pre-game, you get to practice that new champ you bought, or try out that new skin that somebody mysteriously gifted you. The list goes on, but I think you get the point. Less pre-game raging allows your team to have a better chance at cohesion, and of course there will still be raging players but that's just part of it. I believe Riot is doing their best to mitigate the raging as much as possible.

Now to change my direction towards the new queue. The topic I want to talk about that has caught my attention the most is locking in after bans have been picked. Honestly I'm on the fence about this. On one side it's great because it ensures people are paying attention to the game and not just leaving. On the other side it's creating a lot more dodges because people either aren't paying attention or they're actually dodging because they don't want those bans. I believe getting rid of the locking-in process after bans should be taken out because we didn't have it before and it's solo queue no one will ever..ever come to an agreement and we all know that. Now if you want to keep the locking-in process, then I believe you should up the dodge penalties to something like an hour because its their fault for dodging and not anyone else's. You need to make the penalty so that people have to really think about dodging, but at the same time not making it drastic. After using this queue a few times, I do have to say I am in love with it, besides a few little quirks here and there. Although I talked about one of the major disadvantages at the moment there are many advantages to the new queue as well. One advantage that I want to talk about is my favorite for sure. That is the fact players can now go into a match with other players who are in the mindset of certain positions they want to play and they're all different positions. You no longer have people fighting over positions(well 99% of the time) and you can more than likely play the champ you really "carry" with. The advantage this brings to the table is the less likely hood of teams being on edge before the game even starts. And of course there will still be people that rage before the game starts, but that is inevitable. People either have something wrong with them or they just simply love to troll and that's it. For everyone out there that plays nothing but ranked queues, then this champ select is perfect because it will drop the stress levels quite a bit and allow you to concentrate on getting that free skin at the end of the year.

Well that's basically my two cents about the new queue. I figured I'd stop in for the first time ever and speak up. Please comment below, I'm an all ears kind of guy and love hearing other people's opinion. If you ever want to queue up with me just pm me in game.

Thanks Guys! ~ Aldengath
