Started playing Ranked again after months. As jungle main, here's how I think about low ELO jungle
Being selfish is a lot more rewarding than being a team player, which surprised me considering Riot has been making changes to make the game more team-oriented since forever.
Obviously I only tested this with very little number of games, but what I found out is that selfish junglers like Udyr, Nocturne, and Warwick have much higher chance to perform well than team-oriented ones such as Rammus and Rek'Sai. Heck, even Lee Sin does poorly unless you go full assassin mode. Granted, this is Silver 3 ELO so that should explain why, considering at higher ELO, players are much closer in skill so it's almost impossible for you to completely outplay the enemy team on your own.
As someone that sometimes tilt, I find that selfish junglers are a lot less tilting as well. Playing for yourself actually puts more pressure on yourself and you see your own team's mistakes much less often, and I can only blame myself when I make a mistake on a selfish jungler. Playing a self-oriented jungler actually helps me identify my misplays a lot better than playing a supportive jungler, and as such I can much more easily fix them and become a better player by either not making the same mistake, approach a matchup better, or even something as simple as picking the proper selfish jungle against enemy team composition where I can be selfish and put a massive amount of pressure by just picking the right champion.
TL;DR If you're low ELO jungler, pick selfish junglers, play selfish, so you can pinpoint your mistakes, prevents yourself from being angry at your own teammate, improve your mechanics, and possibly climb easier.
