Locking champion in during ranked champ select is dumb.

Am i the only one that thinks that having to lock your champion in during ranked champ select to be really dumb? I mean, we are used to not having to do so and now if we accidentally forget, we get banned from play? Talk about unfair. I understand that they ban us if we don't pick a champion at all, because it means we are afk, but just because we did not lock in our champion choice? So dumb.
