Being Counter Jungled help.

Hey guys, so this season i decided to change from an ADC > Jungle main, its gone pretty well but now I'm hitting a few stumbling blocks, the main one is being counter jungled by an obvious jungle main on the opposite team, so have gone back to normals for a little bit.

my question though is there any handy tips for handling heavy counter jungles? except wards? is there anything in particular i should look to do that i might be missing? i know mid and your side lanes can and should help when available (when their pushed and an invade happens) but this doesn't usually happen.\

Ward up, you have to learn to predict the other jungler's jungle path,

You really need your team to help. Its flipping of the normal state of things. You need to get them to collapse on an enemy jungler in your jungle.

Also obvious things such as warding the entraces to your jungle, your support can help with this as well.

Watching worlds you can see them responde to a jungler invading thier jungle is to invade thier jungle in return basically resulting in each jungler still controlling half the map.

I am not a jungle main. However, in general there are three basic solutions:

  1. you trade your jungle for his jungle. If the other guy is farming your wolves, he's not there to stop you farming his wolves.

for this, you need to (a) know where he is in your jungle, and (b) know which of his camps are available. preferabely also (c) know where you can enter his jungle without being scouted. Good junglers develop this knowledge.

  1. you find him in your jungle and you / your team / you AND your team collapse on him and kill him

for this, you need (a) a responsive team, specifically the mid laner (most available roam and most available killing power in the mid game) and the support (best "you're not escaping this" and "you're not turning this into a kill for you" abilities), (b) knowledge of the enemy team's position (are they backing him up?) and the other jungler's position.

  1. he gets wolves, you get a kill.

you do a good gank on his precious mid or his precious top while he's busy getting small incremental advantages.

for this you need available gank opportunities. if you have those than you're probably already in the driver's seat. Generally speaking, a lot of laners hold their lanes in a pushed position when they intend to roam and help their jungler. Instead, turn the tables on them and kill them. This is also a moral blow to the enemy jungler because you're ruining the lane he is "counting on" (the one that he thinks is going to back him up and do plays with him).

bare in mind: this usually results in you losing power compared to the other jungler but your laner gaining power in relation to the enemy lane. you should find a way to regain the lost power later.

What junglers do you play and what junglers are you being invaded by?

Currently, there isn't much built in support for counter jungling and anti-counter jungling besides coordinated team play, wards, and the champion you are using. People can win early game fights easily can destroy any counter jungling champion and wards can reveal for your team where an easy kill is. That's about as much as you can do. Smiting wolves is also an option. If you ward and see them in your jungle, you could go into their Jungle and steal their camps to cancel the steal out as well.

Smite wolves and ask you team for pinks

Knowing when you show on map and where the other jungler is. If u know they are taking your blue. Go take theirs. Knowing clear speeds help a lot with early game too.
