Would a bronze 1 Darius main win against a Challenger 5 player who has never played Darius?

Did the Challenger player disconnect in the middle of the lane with autoattack disabled?

If so, the Bronze player may stand a chance.

Then again, players have died to AFK champions before...

More seriously, the Challenger player would crush the Bronze player.

While they may not have played Darius before, they would still be far above the Bronze player in general decision-making, mechanics and game knowledge.

Also, higher-tier players generally know how a champion is played even if they don't play them due to general knowledge and playing with/against them.

Osmosis and transferable skills are wonderful things.

No. Challenger players know every champions moves/abilities even if they may not have first hand players them (which is very unlikely), and much more importantly they know how to win games, which plays into a far more macro game than the champion 1v1.

Also challenger 5 isn't a thing. After diamond 1 comes master, and the top of master is challenger, with no divisions.

Thing is, there are many concepts that a Bronze 1 would not understand or be able to apply as opposed to a challenger who understands lane pressure, wave control, etc.

If it were a 1v1 game, it really depends on how the initial fights in lane go. One of them will get the upper hand, and that may prevent the other from making any sort of comeback. I really believe that higher tier players excel in the macro, team orientated game of objective control, which doesn't translate well to a 1v1 game. However, the challenger player is probably mechanically very good, and will likely get more early CS. I would say they would still have a higher chance of winning the game.

If it is a team game (assuming the rest of the team is evenly matched) then the challenger will probably carry his team through shot calling, objective control, and better team presence.
