Sword of the Occult/Mejai's Soul Stealer and executions.

With the greater impact dying will have on SotO, I think that executions should no longer remove stacks. More often than not, executing is done to provide a better out than giving up a proper kill, and represents a good decision made on the part of the player; punishing it by removing even more stacks than are currently lost just makes an underused item even less attractive.

if you buy occult or mejais you are either A. An extremely cocky SOB who wants to try and make people focus him with one of the biggest cheeses in the game. B. the rest of your team is fed so why not buy one because the fed whatever gets pentas. or C. you are fed and you bought one as your third item 18 minutes in. and I agree with yellowbricks its a cowards move, and if you get trapped in their side with certian death, you either screwed up, or got outplayed, either way, you should really pay for it.

What about those silly people who go to take dragon/neutral camps with 10 hp and get executed? Is that a good decision on their part too? How does the system differentiate between the two?

If the two items should be improved beyond the changes we have for patch 4.20, I would be hesitant to change them in this way.

Sword of the Occult and Mejai's are interesting from the standpoint of "show off"-ness and how it warps your own safety strategy. The safety warping aspect of these items is key to them. It's a major reason why Leviathan was removed and why Sword of the Occult is getting its movement speed capstone replaced.

Executions should give the entire enemy team gold, or triple your death timer, or both. Execution is such a spineless maneuver, and it doesn't punish you for killing yourself, which is so backwards. If you resort to running into towers, you fucked up, you're on the run from the enemy or something, and they've chased you into their base. You got outplayed, and yet you can just erase it by running into towers and killing yourself. It's pretty stupid to be honest.
