Aatrox is surprisingly fine. Just fix his ult so he can do something after laning phase.

A champion's ultimate is usually more impactful in big decisive fights, and is what matters after the laning phase: Landing a good Yas ult, leading to ace and baron; Landing a good WW ult in the carry or feed opponent, leading to objectives like towers or herald; A good timed Karthus ult that can lead to inib rush; etc.

When a champion lacks a good ultimate (Udyr, Nidalee, Karma, etc), they usually can't have as much as impact in teamfights like Gnar or Shen, which makes sense to those champions (champs without ultimate) since most of them are laning/jungling wise champs. Even though Aatrox has a pretty good laning phase, is clear that he isn't fully focused into that phase of the game. His ult was mean to have great impact in big fights, as the name suggest (World Ender), but ultimately fails to accomplish this, due to how underwhelming it is and feels.

There's some suggestions for his ult:

  • All of the Q's AoE becomes sweetspots, not only the edges (1st & 2nd) and center(3rd);

  • Can slowly move during Q, since he's flying;

  • Ult is divided in two phases: First phase: Aatrox gradually grows in size over 4 seconds, gaining bonus AD and gradually filling the blood well. If he dies in this phase, he revives with HP based on the blood well; Second phase: If he survives the first phase, he gains additional buffs (stats or the previous suggestions) and keep the bonus AD for 10 seconds. Refreshes on takedowns.
