Make no mistake my dear netiziens of Boards, the ever-returning mass hate for the Assassin class that has been present in this boards for years has been perpetuated by members of the ADC Class so that public opinion would allow for ADCs to be the most instrumental and arguably most overpowered role season after season, while assassins continuously receive nerfs with little to no compensation. Make no mistakes, asssassins are weaker than they have ever been, and continue to grow weaker ever season. Pretty much every Assassin has been nerfed massively, silence mechanic was removed, cooldowns increased etc, at their base, while their itemization has similarly been nerfed. DFG gone. Triple 120 AP? Gone. 120 AP Zhonyas? Gone. 35% Last Whisper? Gone That, combined with Old Youmumu's and Hydra for 3 items >>> most 5-6 item assassin builds out there now. And So On. Meanwhile ADC itemisation has never been stronger. ADCs have progressively been buffed. (I.e, Kog Maw is continuously busted by Riot then nerfed, but each bust seems to leave his nerfed formed slightly stronger than the last, Lucian has seen similar 2 steps forwards 1 step back changes, new ADCs are constantly popping up with increasingly broken Kits (Xayah anyone? Pre-Nerf Jhin played both mid, top and adc?) Meanwhile Assassins have had their last 3 champion releases as; Kayn, Ekko and, before that, their golden boy Zed. Kayn is only an assassin when he goes Dark Kayn, and the base abilities of his kit read more like that of a fighter regardless. Ekko saw the most success as a tank, I think that says a lot about the design and class inclinations of his kit, and Zed was released four seasons ago, that's 4 years. Compare their kits to the prime of far more intrinsically reliable assassins, such as Kassadin, Kha Zix and Akali and tell me that their kits aren't weaker in terms of simply inflicting large amounts of consistent burst damage, then getting out alive.

Meanwhile, ADC itemization has never been more varied or cost effective.

What this seems to imply is that over the past several seasons, Assassin item costs, and base-level kit power has gotten weaker, while the opposite has occurred for ADCs as they have constantly gotten more powerful in both kit, and items. Yet, remember, even in season 3 and 4 ADCs were considered a powerhouse role, but now they're 4 seasons worth stronger more than that?

It is the ADC apologists, Assassin condemners and their sympathisers that have allowed for this. By making their view, that is the hate for assassins, dominant, and dismissing the possibility of hate for ADCs with the hate for assassins, they have effectively controlled the Class wheel of the Classes so that ADC stays on top, and rises even further, while Assassins drop off the bottom, but masked the progress of this happening by controlling public opinion so that their narrative lives on their side
