So...yeah they finally decided to force Autofill on non-Ranked...
-}Picks Top and Mid -}Gets Support Reddit tacks aside, I feel really uncomfortable about this. Dynamic Queue was and is already faulty to a huge extent because of 2-to-4-man premades, but now it's just gotten even worse because we're not even guaranteed our roles anymore. I remember when Autofill was first released for Ranked gameplay, and I said that everything was going to go to shit because Riot decided that saving 2-3 minutes to get in a match is more important than 30-60 minutes in the ACTUAL match. Here's where my seemingly-whiny rant starts: is it even worth it to play League in a way other than casual anymore? Now, hear me out on this. The reason I say this is because we now no longer have a choice in what roles we are able to play in PvP matches. Most people that play League have specializations, and forcing them to play roles they don't want to play means they'll either play badly or quit before the match starts. Already, that generates not only a more toxic community but also encourages dodging from matches -- which is punishable, so pretty much you either have to suffer with a toxic team the majority of the time or you get put in Low Priority. Not only that, but because of the people dodging from matches this wastes even more time than it could possibly save...most matches took 10 minutes max to get into (2 minutes minimum on average), but dodging a match wastes at least 2 minutes average per time, so now it's a huge gamble. Also, those that don't get the role they don't want but don't want to get penalized for dodging a match end up performing terribly in the match...not only does this waste far more time than you would have wasted if you'd left beforehand, and also leaves your team at a disadvantage because they have to adapt to your incapabilities, but this makes any victory your opponent gets pretty much empty -- which just creates a cycle of toxicity and tiltedness. See where I'm going with this? With such unpromising standards to look forward to, why are we even looking forward to trying to play competitively? Unless you and your opponents are incredibly lucky to get the roles they picked, there's pretty much no chance games are going to be games at all. If 'gbay99' on YouTube hadn't said that Solo Queue is coming back (I'll leave a link below), I would have quit the moment I saw the Autofill notification and not even wasted my time ranting on a site that Riot's employees obviously don't even take the time to scout most of the time. Well, anyhow I guess I'm done so here's the video below. If anyone asks what I'll be doing, I'll either be playing Co-op (seeing as those games aren't filled with toxic douchebags, though with the new Autofill we're more likely to see more Co-op Smurfing) or not playing the game at all and just doing something like Fire Emblem Fates. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1y3HiaguaXg
