What role in the game is there that takes control of the game, commands their team, leads them into battle, and wins the game? Well it is support, they are the only role in the game that can do this, sure mid laners roam on occasion and make #LCSBigPlays and marksman really dish out the damage, but the real master mind to when to go in and when to back off typically is the support since a lot of the supports (especially tanks) have the power to choose to engage and most supports (if not all) have strong peeling tools and are the ones calling to back off.

Now for Aatrox's thematics we would need to lean more towards the blood thirsty for battles and fights aspect than retreating, but his lore does have him as a very tactical leader that stirs up the blood of those he helps to create wars (Aatrox may seem like he is good and helping, but he has his own dark motives to what he does). This is why Aatrox makes a perfect candidate to turn into a support and really try to make the general aspect stand out, he makes EVERYONE in the game want to fight and create an all-out war of pure and constant blood shed for that game on the rift. Plus a dark lord type of support would be SO FREAKING COOL!!! I would so excited to play support as a cool and badass dark lord type of character!


Basic Attack Range: 150 - 350 units (he has a living sword that grows in size, will be a part of his new passive)
Base Attack Speed: 0.694 +2.5% per level
Movement: 340 units per second

Blood Well (Passive): Static Cooldown: 180-120 seconds [based on level]
Aatrox gains Blood in his Blood Well, up to 100 Blood, whenever him or nearby allied champions deal or take champion damage. At 100 Blood, if Aatrox takes lethal damage he goes into stasis for 3 seconds restoring 30% of his maximum health over the duration.

Aatrox gains 200 bonus range to his basic attacks and Blood Rush at 100 Blood.

When Aatrox or nearby allied champions have not dealt or received damage from champions within the last 5 seconds then Blood Well begins to decays by 20% over 1 second.

Aatrox heals for 10/11/12/13/14/15% of his missing health every 3rd basic attack, scaling with ranks into Blood Rush, and heals the most wounded nearby allied champion for the same amount.

Dark Flight (Q): Cooldown: 14/13/12/11/10 seconds; Cost: None; Range: 600 / 225 units
Hold Down Skill Key: Aatrox takes flight, up to a maximum of 4 seconds, granting him 25/30/35/40/45% bonus movement speed and the ability to fly over units and terrain.

On Skill Key Release: Aatrox dashes down to the mouse cursor knocking up struck enemies for 1.1/1.2/1.3/1.4/1.5 seconds and dealing 10/30/50/70/90(+110%AD) physical damage.

Crowd control cannot take Aatrox out of flight, but he can be disrupted out of the dash.

Blood Rush (W): Cooldown: 6/5/4/3/2 seconds; Cost: 30/35/40/45/50 Health; Range: 200 - 400 units
Aatrox dashes in the target direction stabbing enemies he passes through with his sword dealing 80/95/110/125/140(+20%AD) true damage. Cannot go past terrain.

Blades of Torment (E): Cooldown: 16/14/12/10/8 seconds; Cost: 40 Health; Range: 1600 units
Aatrox sends two converging energy waves into the target direction dealing 80/100/120/140/160(+40%AP)(+40%BonusAD) magic damage to struck enemies. The left wave slows struck enemies by 40/50/60/70/80% that decays over 2.5 seconds and the right wave marks enemies for 2.5 seconds causing Aatrox and allied champions to move 40% faster towards marked enemies.

Massacre (R): Cooldown: 130/100/70 seconds; Cost: 100 Health; Range: 800 units
Aatrox absorbs the blood of friends and foes around him for the next 3 seconds. Enemies that move away from Aatrox take 2/3/4(+2%AP) true damage for every 10 units they move away from Aatrox. Struck allies deal 2/3/4%(+1% per 100AP) of struck enemies' maximum health as true damage on-hit.

Aatrox fills up 20% of his Blood Well per enemy champion struck and grants himself 60/90/120% bonus attack speed for 3 seconds.

Blades of Torment:
Will move slightly faster and the begin separation is slightly further apart from each other making it near impossible in more scenarios to hit the target with both energy waves at close range Es, but going for the long range Es is easier to get both the move towards debuff and the slow on the same target since they waves converge like a sword.

I pretty much did this change to have the skill shot more than just "HEY! They are cool skill shots that form the shape of a sword!" and it is right and left waves based on Aatrox's right and left. It is the ability that is all about a general or commander giving a command to his troops to ATTACK THAT TARGET! I increased the range and missile speed so the cooldown went up early and the damage went down having the ability about its utility than its poke.

Also, yes, you can do a smooth combo of Blood Rush dash into Dark Flight's flight. I decreased the Dark Flight range a bit for the spam-able short range W dash and the movement speed flight grants, but you can tap the ability and will feel like the same ability as it is now, but the entire area knocks up and it does less damage.
