A Problem: Why People Are Still Not Playing Ranked

Now before I start this, None of this has anything to do with me personally but just a trend I've been noticing as of late.

Alright, FINALLY, we got something for when a player fails to connect to the game. Was extremely annoying trying to queue ranked and end up having someone not even connect and then 4v5 gg surrender at 20. There is still a flaw in this whole /remake system, what happens, when it's roughly 8-10 minutes into the game and someone just flat out leaves and as you attempt to "/remake" it states something to the lines of, "/remake is for when a player fails to connect." or something of the sort. So you're telling me that STILL people who are forced to 4v5, are still..........STILL having to take an LP loss because a player on their team had a connection issue? (Riot has been known for having those) Sometimes 4v5's are very winnable. I've done it a few times and it's great and all but more times than none, your team will not be able to have the map pressure that the other team will. Whether it's server problems or player connection problems, the fact that a full team has to suffer consequences due to a teammate is a big reason why people don't enjoy the ranked system like Riot hoped. Changes were made to this season, the promotional games in particular by giving you a free win in your next promo series if you fail to promote to the next rank or tier. Focus was on getting more people involved with ranked, much less stressful to climb, have people start competing. I can understand people's frustration with it. It's not YOUR fault that someone on the other team bailed out for some unknown reason, it's not YOUR fault that you are forced into a 4v5, then why are YOU forced to accept the consequence of losing LP or possibly losing your last game and failing to promote? You don't see an LCS team taking a loss if someone is having a connection issue. If Riot really wants people to enjoy and compete in the ranked system, there is still a long way to go before that plan becomes a reality.

People enjoyed and competed in a ranked system, then Dynamic Queue came and everything is clownshoes

I played ranked a lot until they said we were stuck with Dynamic Queue. I got Platinum playing only solo but without a SQ ranking, I consider it devalued and meaningless. It doesn't prove anything anymore when others can use DQ. Thus, I just messed around and lost the motivation to climb or play a lot.

I don't play ranked because you have to dredge through shit players and assholes.

I mean you do in normals too but for the most part that was a long time ago when you first start, already over that hurdle

but then they have a reason to go into their "serious mode" or at least they pretend they are serious as they fail to do anything useful.

The reward for climbing seriously just isn't worth it unless your champ is the one getting a skin this season.
