There was some guy who made diamond elo while remaining in Bronze. He just dodged his promos everytime, losing them without having to play them thus being eternally bronze.

If you have a silver 2 in a diamond game, you're dealing with a smurf. And specifically, you're dealing with one that probably started their climb from a Bronze starting point.

MMR gets really aggressive when you go on long win streaks. Start from B5, and even though you'll have a heckuva time getting more than 30-40 LP per win, your MMR can rapidly outpace your LP gains. Thus you get someone still in silver, who is playing Diamonds.

This is the attempted cure for smurfs ruining low rating games. It doesn't prevent it, but it mitigates the number of games they can do it, because their MMR balloons quickly toward their true level.

Dynamique queue. Stretching the limits on what's possible.

Well, low diamond mmr isn't much better than mid/high Plat, which (with a good mmr) can be with high Silver players

I guess you never heard about the player who scwed their MMR so they were bronze playing with Diamonds.

I was Bronze 1 with super high MMR so I queued into Gold 3-Plat V for a few games until I finished promosto Silver V it smoothed into Gold 3ish and as I skipped divisions into Silver 3 Its around Gold 5 - 3

So yea, its definately possible, unless it's a person who has just been repeatedly failing promos intentionally to gain higher MMR.
