Instead of Nerfing, Why not Buffing?

Hey everyone!

I've been thinking about what the META is all about and I came to realize, in my opinion, that it's purely dictated by nerfs and what RIOT really wants to see come out. I know, many of you out there already knew that, but I was thinking a little bit deeper. Since League of Legends is getting bigger and bigger (audience), why not buff champions "counters" to the OP META picks. This would create a lot more diversity and would make the pro-scene more "spicy" (strategies etc.). It would also give them a lot more choices and make it overall even more interesting to watch. Imagine if all the champions were actually META. It would be quite insane!

Of course, some champions will always need some tuning (nerfs) because their kit is fundamentally overloaded (Camille, Rengar, Kha'Zix...), but by following that path, it would just be super interesting to see the pro teams adapt themselves to that new environment.

Have a great day, TimerClock

Wouldn't that just make infinite power creep?

So instead of nerfing 1 or 2 op champions we are to buff 100+ champion is what your saying? Atleast that seems to be. Not to insult but you are an idiot if you don't see what type of game that would create. Everyone 1hkoing everything. There has to be limits inorder to have a game. The more powerful a champion is the less skill is envolved to play them. So to buff everything is to take away from this being a game. Riot does a poor job in balancing already, though I'll admit its a tough job givin the amount of champions in the game. Honestly I think we have to many choices, and its starting to show. As champions are not choosen because they have the same job ingame but do it worse than others.

That's why damage is so high because Riot doesn't just nerf things anymore.

A lot of reworks are buffs in the process if anything.

And then we still get people asking this. Oh come on...

There's already a video on youtube with quite nearly the exact same title as your topic and covers the same topics and does so better. What are you trying to accomplish?
