Suggestion: Distinctive ability pings
I've never had this issue before last game, but since I've now learned it has the ability to come up, I want to preemptively offer a solution for possible future instances -- sometimes players can't tell whether a ping is an actual ping or an ability's autoping, and they react inappropriately because the use of an ability does not necessarily correspond to the meaning that players intuit when hearing/seeing the ping without realizing an ability is being cast. For example, Ryze's Realm Warp issues an assistance ping. Last game, my jungler assumed I wanted help because he saw the ping issued, but did not realize it was because I cast Realm Warp and I actually wasn't asking for help at all. The jungler ended up getting killed essentially for free, because that wasn't a place he should have been at the time. So, my suggestion is to create specialized pings for abilities that do not have the potential to confuse players. Would this be a viable solution? Anyone have any other ideas?
