Rather Be OP on release than shitty

Sure it's annoying when a champion gets released and they are ridiculously overpowered but I think its much better than being ridiculously underpowered. At least when they are OP as hell you can play them and have fun with them and sometimes it's pretty funny to watch a champion just rape sooooo hard. Like there's nothing you can do but laugh as the new OP champ wrecks you and your team.

If you're trying to refer to illaoi I have had no trouble with her at all.

Funny thing is that there have been champs released weak but fine-tuned later. Riven is a notorious example on the account that nobody bat an eye-lash on her release, then she got buffed in a patch and she's been causing tears in the eyes of players since.

I think what matters ultimately is the functionality of a champion's kit, because if the kit works, then all that needs fixing are just numbers.

Honestly ever since Xin Zhao's release I have greatly hoped that the champs would all be released at least SLIGHTLY weak. I don't like having new champs be released and be totally overpowered cause then they're just banned every game in draft and in BP it's whoever has the better player wins. At least if they're a little weak, they can still be in the game and have it still be fun for the rest of the players.

Hmm, the thing is, if a champion is released incredibly overpowered, it's hard to really identify the core of what makes that champion enjoyable. Any champion can feel good to play if they are just outright obliterating the enemy. The high points that are good to identify even when you are losing are more valuable for me to know so I know if I want to keep a champion even at their worst.
