Macro vs. Micro play in Lower Elo trying to improve

First of all I would first like to establish that in no way, I think of myself as a master of the game. I try to educate myself as much as i can on it and then share helpful tips/tricks/information I get, If there is something wrong about something I said/explained, please...tell me :D (ty)

So lets start at last season when I first started playing ranked (previous 2 years of just playing for fun). I went 1-9 in placements and got placed in Bronze 3. I haven't touched ranked until this season started. I went 7-3 during placements this year and got placed Bronze 3, but have a better perception/outlook on improving this season. For info on the champs I main is Nasus top, Warwick Jungle, and then Braum and Shen support.

I watched a couple LS streams and he stated multiple times that he thinks Annie is the best champion for climbing. I think he said it is becuase of her Macro play and less intensive kit. When playing Annie more game knowledge is helpful? (or makes you think more about objectives) than other champs, overall most likely making you think about decisions more. I also heard that you need to carry yourself out of lower elo, something which I think I am fully capable of doing (last year at the very VERY end of the season i played 7 games and went 4-3 and ended Bronze 3 51 LP).

My question is, Is it easier to play a mechanically easy champ and focus on objectives and descion making to carry you, or is it easier to play a harder (not necessarily crazy hard mechanical) champion and snowball a lead. I know that Annie's can carry games but I am not a good mid laner and want some easier champs to play where i can focus more on macro in each role.

Thanks!

Annie is an easy champion for high level players to play with success in multiple roles and into many matchups blind. She's also a cheap champion and a staple for one trick challenges or smurf account champion requirements to play ranked (cuz cheap).

She is NOT a good champion for climbing for average players as the mirco skill level required to play her effectively is relatively high and she doesn't bring much to the table in macro terms.

For any and all players wishing to climb there are several things that can help one improve one's ladder standing.

Play your best champion(s) only. And stick to one role whenever possible.

Never spam ranked games back to back to back. Take breaks to refresh and decompress.

Only play when you are feeling at your best mentally and physically.

Limit your ranked play according to how many losses you achieve in a day to manage your MMR and prevent loss streaks. A good rule of thumb is to stop playing ranked once you lose your second match of the day, regardless of how many you have played.

Play ranked at the appropriate times of the day. Late night is a gamble, hours right after school lets out are a gamble, weekends and holidays are a gamble. Stick to the time frames when less casual players are playing.

Use your dodges appropriately. Same goes for third party information. When you join a lobby the first thing you should be doing is op.gging the whole team to see who is good at what and what kind of team composition that lobby stands to have the best chance to win with. Then you need to communicate this information effectively. If your team decides to opt into a risky composition or starts to actively flame, troll, or otherwise antagonize the other members of the lobby that is not a game you should be playing with that team. Dodge and stay out of the queue for 5-10 minutes to let the less sportsmanlike players play without you.

Practice. Practice. Practice. Like anything worth doing, ranking up requires hard work and effort and a constant desire to improve yourself.

Constantly analyze your played matches and watch professional level play. Vision control, objective control, and general macro/map awareness are the most important skills one can have in this game. Always focus on improving in this aspect and work on your ability to communicate these things in game effectively.
