Ability Concept - Stingers

I used this ability as a part of a champion concept that I shared before called The Hive Queen.

I wanted to try and isolate this specific ability because I think it would be a very interesting ability to be modified into a champion ability, possibly with a different champion concept all together.

I would try and explain the full ability, but it is honestly very complicated, and I don't want to bloat my post too much because people tend to ignore lengthy posts. If you want to know the full concept, please follow the link above.

In an attempt to keep it simple, think of a Stinger as a warding ability that the champion can place on the ground. It is initially not "in flight" but it can be toggled to "take flight" or "drop flight."

The part that I want to highlight here is the idea that when a Stinger is in flight, it grants vision, and can be seen / targeted, over terrain. It only grants vision into bushes if it is in the bush, but it is not obscured by the bush.

When a stinger is not in flight they function a lot like a Ghost Poro. When not in flight in a bush, they are obscured by the bush. Like with a Ghost Poro, when an enemy gets too close to them, the Stinger takes flight.

I think this vision ability that can see over walls, and be seen over walls, would be an interesting mechanic, and I would like to see something like this make it into the game. I think it is balanced because you gain an advantage of being able to see over terrain, but the enemy would also know that you can see them.

In the full Hive Queen post, I gave a lot more details, including vision ranges in the different forms. A Stinger in flight has slightly less vision than a champion or a ward, so it would be possible to see the Stinger before it sees you.
