Hey guys, I've been playing since season 3 and I am fully aware that the League community is not the kind to feel sympathetic or to give polite advice but I'm experiencing something very shitty and more depressing than it should be. You see, as I stated I started playing League a while ago. Aatrox was the newest character when I started, and I played for about two years until I. decided I wanted to take a break and play other games. But we'll get to that in a sec. Back then, I considered myself a pretty good player. I thought I was a great support. I always landed by combos and help my team, and when I jungled I always stayed up in CS and was great at ganking. But that was a long time ago. I started playing again about a month ago and I've been consistently feeding every game. I tried new roles to see if maybe I'm just better somewhere else but nope, I am really just that bad now. If you look at my match history you'll see exactly what I'm talking about. I know you're probably thinking, "well it's probably because you've been gone for so long" but I don't think that's true. Even after such a big gap I don't think anyone would feed this much. I can't hold my own in any role I play and it's making me so weirdly sad. You see, I love this game. I love everything about it. But I can't go on playing LoL if I'm this bad. It's not fun for me and it's especially not fun for my teammates. I just want to know if anyone has some good advice or tips that will help someone that really truly wants to be better. I'm not saying I want to be challenger in a month. I'm just saying that I want to be able to hold my own again. I know it's hard to give advice to someone if you don't watch them play, but maybe you've been in this same situation before and know exactly what the problem is. Thank you for reading all this, I've never been so upset from wanting to be better at a game before. I'm tired of being so sad after every game I play, even when we win I still feel no sense of accomplishment.

Narrow your roles and champions. And preferably just play easy champs with point and click style abilities.

Hey Pixlcat!

It takes a lot of courage to come forth here and take personal responsibility for your recent unsucessful games, and for that I thank you very much. You are also right that League's community could definitely be friendlier and more helpful, and this thread is the perfect opportunity for that to happen.

An important thing to note is that damage in League jumped way up during the time you took a break: situations that you could previously escape from are now certain death, at all stages of the game, and taking the wrong initiative at the wrong moment is much more punishing than before. It is therefore possible that you are feeding because there's still some old habits learned from previous seasons that are making you underestimate the amount of risk you're in, or the damage you'll take. To counter this, I recommend picking safer, more survivable champions, like Poppy, Janna, Jarvan, and the like. Picking tanks and supports might be especially likely to help, as it's not so bad if you die then.

I also recommend you play more, as the only way to unlearn those habits is going to be by internalizing the game's current pace and damage levels. It might help to play safer, and focusing on staying alive, rather than trading or going all-in with your opponents: generally, the most common mistake that gets people to feed (which I've committed many times in the past), is that they focus too much on dealing damage to their opponent in lane, and not on CSing, warding and keeping themselves healthy. If you've already died to your opponent, this is particularly true, as hurling yourself against them will make you increasingly more likely to lose against them. Playing more passive might be more boring, and will take some getting used to, but is very likely to cut down on your deaths.

One more thing to keep in mind is not to beat yourself up too hard on this: yeah, dying often doesn't feel great, but that doesn't mean you're not contributing. Some classes need to take heat off of their allies by nature, which makes them more likely to die, but also means they still get to help out at the same time. Many players have bad games, even bad streaks, and so at all levels of play, so it's important to put into perspective the fact that even though you're not doing so hot now, you did do well at this same game in the past, and have only resumed playing for a month. Ultimately, League is a game, so if you're not enjoying yourself it's better to take another break than to burn yourself out completely, but I do think you have it in you to succeed and enjoy yourself (and enjoy yourself without necessarily succeeding in-game). Best of luck, and let us know on here how things go!

Take my advice with a grain of salt but. I think that you should level a new account. Seriously. It will help you affirm your basics and hopefully get some muscle memory back. I know that there will be smurfs to go against but I think that it could still help.

If you want to jungle play champion like Warwick Infinite substain , easy gank , durability , movement speed and AS steroid , blood trail to find enemy champ , can solo dragon , rift herald, good duelist and easy to learn . You want to play traditional support ? I really dont recommend traditional support in low elo because it rely too much on your team . So i would recommend a skirmisher champion like Leona . Two stun , Gap closer root , increase your damage in your team with your passive while being a good meat wall and have resistance from W .

This game atm work with communication and you shouldnt be afraid to call for objective same if youre not the jungler . Also you can do unexpected game by yourself by going in other lane . This is all up to you . But seriously i would ask yourself to find a champion you like to play and want to master so you can improve better at your gameplay and know your weakness and strong qualities . Most of this require having the champion and some grinding but its worth if you seek fun . [slayer-jinx-catface]
