Jax Leap Strike Fluidity

I noticed that Lee Sin's safeguard (w) was recently updated to allow the ability to be more forgiving when ward hopping with ping. My question is, can the same be done for Jax with his leap strike to a recently placed ward? I was using the practice tool and trying to improve some of my Jax mechanics when I noticed that there was a significant delay between the placement of a ward and the immediate leap strike to it that could prove costly in some situations.
