Few small changes that could have a big impact on ranked solo queue
I feel like Riot doesn't care much about ranked solo play since the number of people that play it is not as many compared to say blind. But some small changes can really benefit ranked.
In no particular order:
-
Removing the ability to duo in SOLO queue
-
Not allowing new champs/reworked champs to be played right away in ranked
-
Revamping the surrender system so you can surrender before 15 min since games are decided with 15-20 mins and 4/5 of your teammates want to forfeit within less than 20 min but are held hostage by one guy who also just so happens to be the feeder then it isn't really doing anyone good. Just hurting the community more.
-
Put in an extra check before someone bans a champion that is also your team mate's pick intent. So for instance say I have Jax as my pick intent and someone on my team tries to ban him, a dialog would pop up saying something alone the lines of "Are you sure you want to ban this champion, a team mate has intended to play it, doing so could result in a penalty" This would really stop those people that ban people's champion on purpose and claim they weren't paying attention (it would also force them to pay attention)
I say these are small changes because to be frank, the ranked system needs alot of small tweaks that can really help people climb. But Riot doesn't seem to address it at all.
