Kiting as an adc

So its been only about 8 months since i started league... ive been maining top lane and adc but my friend told me that i should start using attack command (A) instead of autoing through right clicks. I heard its faster, but should i start practicing now or try to get better with the game first? I practiced couple of times but it frustrates me how the autos from A command only attacks the closest enemy present, so i could be hitting the minions with full health when i need to hit the one behind. If i go in deep ill get so much aggro. A command might also attack turrets or minions if they are closer when i am in a 1v1 situation... i heard theres an option to attack champions only and set that as T. I was instructed to hold T and a, then click ground to kite champions when you are clustered by mobs. But what if there are team fights and you want to attack the squishy targets on the back? I am unaware of many things so it would be nice if i were to be educated :( thank you!

Also i keep canceling the auto too fast cuz i turn back too fast x.x

It can also attack w/e is closest to your mouse, it's kind of what I do. I use attack move click on my V key. So if I don't want it attacking what's closes to me i just hover over what ever i want to attack. it's not really a problem in teamfights as you want to be attacking w/e is on your face, so you can be clicking back, pressing w/e key you use without worry as it attacks for you.

Or be like me. When I kite I dont auto at all, I keep running while assasin + tank chase after me. By the time they turn around, my 4 teammates already cleaned up their targets. #Imhelping

I attack move when I want to attack the closest enemy to me. For cs'ing I click directly but that's also a lower pressure situation than a team fight so I can focus enough to click the right target while also positioning appropriately.
